Lesson Learned
Sam walks into his boss’s office. “Sir, I’ll be straight with you, I know the economy isn’t great, but I have over three companies after me, and I would like to respectfully ask for a raise.
After a few minutes of haggling the boss finally agrees to a 5% raise, and Sam happily gets up to leave.
“By the way”, asks the boss as Sam is getting up, “which three companies are after you?”
“The electric company, water company and phone company,” Sam replied.
“Your talent determines what you can do, your motivation determines how much you are willing to do, and your attitude determines how well you do it.” – Lou Holtz
Sam entra en la oficina de su jefe. ” Señor, voy a ser sincero con usted, sé que la economía no es genial, pero tengo más de tres empresas después de mí, y me gustaría pedir respetuosamente un aumento.
Después de unos minutos de regateo, el jefe finalmente acepta un aumento del 5 y sam felizmente se levanta para irse.
” por cierto “, le pregunta al jefe como sam se está subiendo, ” que tres compañías están detrás de ti?”
” la compañía eléctrica, la compañía de agua y la compañía telefónica,” respondió sam.
